Who are we?

We are Etwas, which means something and anything in Latin and German
We are a team of six students of Oakridge International School Bangalore who are determined to win the world finals this year. This is our first year doing the competition and we already participated in the South India region and got qualified to go to the National level. We are now working hard to excel in the nationals and get qualified to the world finals this year.
What is F1
in Schools
One of the biggest international STEM competition for school children
F1 in Schools is an international competition for school children in which groups of 3–6 students have to design and manufacture a miniature car out of a block using CAD/CAM design tools. The cars are powered by CO2 cartridges and are attached to a track by a nylon wire. They are timed from the moment they are launched to when they pass the finish line by a computer. The cars have to follow extensive regulations, in a similar fashion to Formula 1.

Team Leader
Gaurang is the backbone of our team he is the driving force of all the operations of the team.
Aditya
Design Engineer
Aditya is the youngest member of our team and is in 7th grade. He is a expert at CAD and had designed all the cars.
Satvik Reddy
Graphic Designer & Social Media Manager
Satvik is a huge contributor to our team he took care of all our social media promotions, our website and other promotions.
Abhishek Menon
Resource Manager
Abhishek was the financial lead for our team he is the deciding vote for all the money related decisions for our team.
Nithin Chalavadi
Manufacturing Engineer
Nithin is the one who takes care of our rendering, drawings and our manufacturing he makes very impactful decisions for our team.
Shreyas Reddy
Sponsorship Manager
Shreyas is a key contributor of our project he helps make important decisions. He is constantly on the search for sponsors.
Our strengths
OUR CAR
We are confident that our car is mach better than the other ones as we have put in a lot of time and effort into researching and designing our car we use the CAD/CAM tool Fusion 360 to design our car. We are hoping to be able to pass the one second barrier with our car.
OUR TEAM
We have a diverse team of five 11th graders and an 7th grader. We all have various interests and passions that got us together. We all are a part of Oakridge international school which is one of the biggest IB school in Bangalore. We have known each other for a long time making it easier to collaborate.
OUR ADVANTAGE
Firstly we are the oldest team in our region. Secondly our car has a much lower drag coefficient than others. We also are very close to getting many sponsorship which would get us a financial advantage over our competitors.
